Pinyin Helper · Last updated 4 July 2026
Pinyin Helper is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: your text stays on your device, and we do not collect personal information.
The Chinese text you type or paste is converted to pinyin entirely on your device. It is never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. Clipboard content is accessed only at the moment you tap “Paste from Clipboard.”
To understand how the app is used and to improve performance and stability, Pinyin Helper uses Apple’s built-in MetricKit framework. This provides aggregated, anonymous usage and performance data (for example, how often a feature is used, launch times, and crash diagnostics). It contains no personally identifiable information, and the app uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Pinyin Helper does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal data.
Pinyin Helper does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
